Overview:
Combustible gas detector-When using a fixed combustible gas detector, some malfunctions will inevitably occur. So why do these faults occur and how to troubleshoot them? Here are a few simple examples of troubleshooting methods.
Improper installation of combustible gas detectors
If the fixed combustible gas detector is not installed near the possible gas leak point. Or is installed adjacent to the exhaust fan, the leaked gas will not spread to the combustible gas detector. So the detector cannot detect the gas in time leakage.
If the gas detector cannot be reliably grounded and electromagnetic interference cannot be eliminated. The operating voltage will be affected and the detection data will be inaccurate. Therefore, the flammable gas detector should be reliably grounded during the installation process.
If the combustible gas alarm and wiring terminal are installed in a place prone to collision or water ingress. It will cause the circuit to be interrupted or short-circuited. For detector welding, non-corrosive flux must be used: otherwise the joints will corrode, disconnect or increase line resistance, which will affect normal detection. Do not let the gas detector fall to the ground.
After the installation is completed, debugging should be carried out to ensure that the gas detector can work normally.
Improper use of combustible gas detectors
In the process of using combustible gas detectors, they must not be installed near air-conditioning and heating equipment. If cold air or warm air flows directly to the gas detector, it may cause the resistance of the warning platinum wire to change, and then an error occurs. Therefore, the alarm should be located far away from the air conditioning and heating equipment to avoid improper placement caused by the failure of the gas detector.
Electromagnetic interference should also be prevented when using gas detectors. The gas detector installation location, installation angel, protective measures and system wiring should be considered to prevent EMI.
When using a fixed combustible gas detector, it is necessary to consider factors such as dust, high temperature, humidity, rainfall, etc., which may also easily lead to the failure of the detector.
When an exhaust fan needs to be installed, if the exhaust fan is installed near the combustible gas detector, the leaked gas will not be fully diffused into the gas alarm, and it will not be detected in time, which is likely to cause accidents. In this case, the installation site should be carefully considered.
When using a gas leak detector, avoid places where high temperature, high humidity, steam and oily smoke may reach.
Do not place or hang objects on the detector.
Once the gas detector is installed, it is best not to arbitrarily change the location of the equipment.
